Want the confidence of an Astronaut?
Yesterday I visited NASA space station AND met an astronaut 🤯
Hearing about the 400,000 people involved in making the moon landing happen and the latest in rocket technology from Space X, there was something else that caught my attention...
And that was confidence.
In an interview, the astronauts were asked how they built their confidence to manage the high-profile international attention they would attract and mental and physical challenge of their upcoming space missions. What struck me was how blasé they were!
They explained that they were trained so well, had anticipated all the outcomes, drilled the hardest parts so many times, that confidence became innate. One astronaut said that there was nothing that could happen in the upcoming mission that they hadn’t already experienced during their training on Earth.
Boldly and simply stated confidence.
