1 year on

This career blog is 1 year old today!

Whoop whoop!!

What a great reason to celebrate. Come rain or shine, this blog has gone out every Wednesday via email for a whole year :)

So my message this week is congruent with that.

I'm not an experienced blogger. I'm not a qualified writer. I just decided to write a blog to share my experiences as a Coach, working with people to transform their careers. And I've learned about blogging along the way, thanks to you and your interaction.

If I can write a blog, just because I decide to, what else can I do? It makes other ideas seem less scary and far off.

How can you apply this to things you want?

I often hear people say 'I'd love to do 'x', but I'm just not qualified'. Or 'I'd love to do 'y' but I'd have to go back and re-train'.

The reality is that there are people less qualified than you doing the things you want to do now.

You've got a unique set of experiences, skills and interests that no one else has. You don't need any more pieces of paper to tell you you're good enough. By all means keep learning, but start applying what you've already got now.

You don't need to wait. Why not do the thing you want and learn as you go :).

Thank you for reading and replying to my weekly blogs, I appreciate you.
Keep the ideas coming and I'll continue to write about the areas most useful to your career adventures.
