How to find a job that you're GREAT at

If you're not consistently getting the results you want, there could be a few things at play.
It could be because you're trying to do something you're good at, not great at.

This quote from Danielle LaPorte resonates with me: "Be careful what you're good at - you could end up doing it for years".
I'd never thought of 'good' being a curse before. If you're naturally good at lots of things (hello high achievers), it can often be harder for you to pick the right next career move. You have so many options open to you that you don't know which way to turn.

If what you're doing doesn't light you up, you're probably not the right person for the job.
Look for something that you're GREAT at. What's your instinct telling you?

If you're unsure what that is, think about these questions:

What comes easily to you?

- What are you doing when time seems to fly by?

What do other people say you're great at?

The other issue that could be impacting your results is that you doubt you can do it. Even if you have some confidence alongside the doubt, this is going to mess with your results.

If you're feeling both doubt and confidence, you're going to attract outcomes that reflect both doubt and confidenceYou're diluting your results - what you put in, you'll get out.

Interested to hear your reflections on this. Where are you keeping yourself stuck doing what you're 'good' at, and where are you letting doubt impact your results? If you want help with this let me know.

P.S. It's time to stop settling for good and uncover your unique set of skills and experience. You'll feel empowered and confident in your next career move if you know you'll be leveraging what you're best at.
