Have you dropped the ball?
^ ^ This is such a good point from the entrepreneur Daniel Priestly ^ ^
Have you got so much, on that you're worried about dropping the ball on something important? The fact is, you most likely will. The best thing to do, is to decide to drop it now - on purpose.
Often I am equally as stressed about dropping the trivial stuff, just as much I’m worried about dropping the really significant things in life. The over-thinker in me arrogantly assumes that I don’t need to drop anything at all if I just keep thinking and working out a way to get everything done - very telling, isn’t it?!
What you and I really need to do, is start our to-do list afresh.
I notice a heart-lifting difference when I focus my thinking on just a few critical tasks. It’s a HUGE relief for my active mind and I’m continuing to gently remind myself to actually prioritise, which is easier siad than done. These questions will prompt you to re-evaluate what is actually a priority right now:
- What are you willing to drop?
- What are you carrying that you could re-label as low or lower significance?
- What has high significance and deserves greater energy?
