Re-wiring your brain to get the outcome you want

This quote is from a book about how to re-wire our minds to get the outcomes we want. The fact that we would need to re-wire makes sense to me. Our brains are a collection of our history. Historic thoughts, feelings and experiences that have shaped our mind.

If we've decided to break out of our day to day lives in some way (e.g. to start a new career, to move house, to get fitter), then it makes sense to me that we would need to break away from our old thinking that created our old life. Basically - change requires different thinking.

So in the above quote, Joe Dispenza has made a good point. Analysing how to change, using the same thinking structure and the same synapses and neurons that created our old self won't help. But how do we do it then?

Joe Dispenza suggests a specific meditation, which I've simplified into 2 steps:

Step 1 : Use a mindfulness style meditation to observe your thoughts

Note that observing our thoughts with detachment is very different to over-analysing them and getting stuck in an old thought pattern. For example, observing yourself thinking 'I am frustrated' is very different to analysing why you're frustrated.

If you start digging into why you're feeling a certain way, you're bound to get caught up in old thinking. This is only useful to the extent you write down repetitive thoughts as a way to raise your self-awareness so that you can interrupt and edit them in future.

They offer no other value to you in your journey towards change.

Step 2: Visualise how the future you will think, act, and feel once achieving your goals

Use some meditative practices (like the examples listed here) to begin picturing how you will feel once you’ve achieved the outcomes you want.

Evidence shows that our subconscious accepts this information (visualisation) as if it were really happening, which starts to create new neural pathways and literally CHANGE YOUR MIND.

That is how you can use meditation as a tool to re-wire your brain for success.

P.S.  We all know meditation calms the mind, but did you know we can also use it to re-wire our minds to help us achieve the outcomes we want? Hugely powerful.

P.P.S.  There's 2 ways you can currently work with me: 1) a 2 hour breakthrough NLP session or 2) a 4 session coaching programme over 2 months. All phone based. When you're ready, hit reply and we'll agree which approach best serves your goal.
